This is what a Mary Sue is. It's generally, but not always, seen as a negative trait, but if done right can work. However, it's best to assume that if you have a Mary Sue, you're doing something wrong.

I took this test for all my characters except Jacqueline (she's not fleshed out enough to be able to honestly answer all the questions).

and these are the results:
Samantha: 21 (Almost a Mary Sue, but some of the boxes I marked were kinda iffy. For instance, she -is- part of a prophecy, but once she learns about it, she purposely brings it down and destroys it.)
Gwendolyn: 12 (Fairly boring and one-dimensional. Definitely not a Mary Sue, but could use some fleshing out.)
Gertrude: 17 (Pretty much right where the score should be for original fiction. Funny how Gertrude is my best character by this barometer.)
Alexis: 7 (She's really...fucking...boring.)
Catharine: 19 (Similar to Gertrude, although it's pretty hilarious to note that most of her points came from her beauty and attractiveness, and she was up to 30 points before I started checking boxes for character flaws.)
Clyde: 28 (Some definite Sue-like tendencies. Apparently I made him, overall, more desirable and cool than my other characters, which is hilarious because he's a villain.)
I encourage everyone else with an original character to take this test, but make sure you read the instructions and preliminary information first. If you have a ton of points on this thing, you'll really need to consider toning down your character.
The reason I bring this up is because a LOT of furries have Mary Sues as their fursonas. It'd be nice to see the number cut down a bit.
