At any rate, Tolkien and Beowulf allusions aside, I'm back for good ('til the end of the semester, anyway). While a few times intermittently I was able to get online during the summer, I didn't have a connection of my own where I'd be able to do things unsupervised whenever I wanted. That all has changed now.

I'd have gotten online a bit sooner, but the Allo Communications branch in the city in which my apartment is dragged its feet for about a week and a half. The result: I switched to Charter. I called 'em on Thursday; they set up an appointment for Tuesday; and lo and behold! I have teh intarwebz.

As such, I'll be back to commenting on things, replying to comments, talking on the forums, and uploading more regularly. All that great jazz.

So my parents are out of town on vacation for a week. That means my online activities will increase from the whole "Post pictures and do nothing more" status they were at for a while.
Figured I'd let whoever was interested know, in case ya' got curious about why I suddenly started replying en masse and commenting on stuff.

It's that time again!
No, not...wait, actually yeah. You're right. It's time for summer break. And we all know what that means for Humbug! No, not...dag blast it! You guessed right again: Limited to no Internet exposure. Woo! So yeah. You'll see intermittent posts and stuff, but no major activity (ie: Forum posts, responses to comments, etc.)
My IM activity will be even less, probably, but for those I talk to, I might try to get on Meebo for a while by using my Wii.
And yes. I'm going to finally have Smash Bros. Brawl online. Woo! I have a few people's Brawl codes, and I'm going to try to get a couple more from different people even if it means e-mailing them and bugging them for it. Mwaha.

So yeah. That's the state of things. Little wordier than the usual announcements, but hey.

This'll be buried relatively soon, but I figured I'd post it anyway, to have in print and findable in my profile.

HUMBUG('S) RULES!

1. I only do requests for people I'm friends with.
2. I only become friends with people I deem cool.
3. I claim no copyright on anything I create. If you're a bastard, feel free to claim my work as your own. Just try not to let me see it.
4. This is a subset of Rule 3, but all of my characters are more or less public domain. Use them how you want and in any situations you desire. I ask, however, that you be courteous and try not to let me see any pictures involving genitalia, anuses, sex, sexual play, breast enlargement, etc. (I think you can see a trend here).
5. If I do see pictures I didn't want to see, I won't say anything, so don't fear repurcussion if you do decide to do, say, Samantha-on-Catharine lesbian sex or whatever. *Shudder.*

And...that's it for now! I'll update if I think of something, but I'm pretty laid-back on the 'Net, so it doesn't matter much if there's some rule I haven't mentioned.

Gwendolyn: I think my birth certificate said I'm female and a musculusoid, though I've been called a weirdo mousegirl. *Shrug.*

-You got any bad habits?
Samantha: I should probably kill more people who are a threat to society, as I tend to let them live, but I think in the end, that'll turn out to be a virtue.
Gertrude: Uh...no. That's not a very nice question.
Catharine: I guess I tend to lose track of things when I'm not fighting. People tell me that my chest sometimes shows when I'm dancing or moving the wrong way, but I don't really care much.
Clyde: Once in a while I make a dumb choice in memorizing my spells, but I'm not sure you'd call it a habit.
Gwendolyn: Bad habits? Can't say I do. I don't smoke, drink, burn houses, do drugs, (*And she goes on.*)

-Any other names or nicknames?
Samantha: Some people call me "Sam" or "Miss Weltzin."
Gertrude: I've been called a bitch before. And a jackass. And an asshole. Needless to say, those people aren't alive anymore.
Catharine: For some reason, I've been called "lunch" before, but I beat them into the ground before they could actually try and eat me.
Clyde: No.
Gwendolyn: People tend to mistake my name for "Creep" or "Annoying little girl" or "What the hell is wrong with you?" and I'm not sure how they could get those from my name.

-You a virgin?
Samantha: No. Why are you asking? You want some? I'm picky, though.
Gertrude: No. Why?
Catharine: Nope!
Clyde: No.
Gwendolyn: What? I'll have to look that up. *Looks it up.* Hmmm...now I have to look up "Sex..."


-Who's your mate/spouse/Lover?
Samantha: Nobody right now, though I've had flings.
Gertrude: No one. I tend to just do it when I feel like it.
Catharine: I have a boyfriend, but I haven't seen him in a while.
Clyde: I've eaten every girlfriend I've had.
Gwendolyn: More words I have to look up!

-Have any kids?
Samantha: No. Don't want 'em. There's too much to do.
Gertrude: No. I'd probably drown 'em or something if I had 'em.
Catharine: No! I'm too young for that kinda' thing.
Clyde: My lovers may've been pregnant when I digested them, but so far as I know, none has ever given birth.
Gwendolyn: Of course I don't! I don't condone slavery, and if I find out about anyone who owns kids, I'll give them the lecture of a lifetime.

-Favourite food?
Samantha: Actually, call me old-fashioned, but good ol' trail rations aren't bad.
Gertrude: Gimme a good beer and some raw meat, I guess. *Shrug.*
Catharine: I'm a fan of various Subway sandwiches.
Clyde: Yeah. Women. Preferably alive at the time.
Gwendolyn: Favorite food?! Shoot! I forgot to eat again today! I wondered what that weird feeling in my tummy was.

-Killed anyone?
(Canon) Samantha: I haven't killed any people, though I've killed plenty of creatures.
(Non-canon) Samantha: Yeah. Much as I hate to say it, I've swallowed some people. A pretty decent number, actually.
Gertrude: Hell yeah! You wanna' make something of it?
Catharine: I dunno'...maybe?
Clyde: Plenty.
Gwendolyn: Only evil people, and even then, it was usually indirect, like slipping and letting go of my sword, which knocked a boulder loose, which fell and crushed 'em.

-Hate anyone?
Samantha: Not really.
Gertrude: Hell yeah! Samantha, for starters, and *Rambles off a list of names.*
Catharine: Not really, no. Why would I?
Clyde: No one alive, anyway.
Gwendolyn: No! Hating is wrong! I do what I must because I can!

-What is your job?
Samantha: City manager and adventurer.
Gertrude: Adventurer, mostly, though I've done odd jobs every now and then.
Catharine: I'm a dancer and an adventurer!
Clyde: I work for a thieves' syndicate, though I've done some freelance adventuring.
Gwendolyn: Preserver of justice and all that is good! I'm also a scholar, though I don't really get paid for it.

-What do you do to relax?
Samantha: Read a book, preferably about history or politics.
Gertrude: I...actually, I don't remember the last time I've relaxed.
Catharine: Dancing relaxes me, though I do like to just lie around sometimes.
Clyde: It's best to relax after killing someone.
Gwendolyn: That word sound familiar. Lemme look it up!

-Ever eaten a person before?
(Canon) Samantha: What the hells? How does one do that?
(Non-canon) Samantha: See my above answer. It's always in self-defense, though I've made mistakes.
Gertrude: Hell yeah! That and slashing 'em in two are my favorite ways to get back at people who piss me off.
Catharine: Yeah. Once. He just kinda' seemed like he deserved it. First and only time I've smoked, too...
Clyde: All the time. Haven't you been listening?
Gwendolyn: Oooo...look at this! It says here that...wait. What was the question again?

-Who is your LEAST favorite person?
Samantha: I guess I'd have to say Shinara. She keep bugging everyone in the party and doesn't even seem to know why what she does is wrong. Or did you mean in the entire world? If that's the case, I probably haven't met the person I dislike the most yet.
Gertrude: Samantha, hands-down.
Catharine: Can't say I have one.
Clyde: I don't know. My boss? Nah. Probably not.
Gwendolyn: Evil people!
